The Jean Sage Memorial Award

The Clubs’ most prestigious award is that in the memory of the late Jean Sage, the former team manager for Renault F1, and who was a great supporter and benefactor to the Club.

It is presented each year  to the person who in the opinion of the members has made the most significant contribution in support of the GPDC in the previous year .

For 2015 it was unanimously agreed that the Award should be given to Graham Gauld, one of the journalist members , and author of many significant motor racing books . In fact Graham’s contributions are not merely  confined to  recent years as he has been supporter for a long time.

His special assistance with this newly established  Club website did, however, single him out for the 2015/6 Award.

The presentation was made during the  annual Club luncheon at the home of Vice-President Teddy Pilette.
