President, Howden and Vice-President, Emanuele at Monterey

Every year the Grand Prix Drivers Club is represented at the famous Monterey speed fest in California that features the Pebble Beach Concours and the historic races at the Mazda Raceway circuit at Laguna Seca.

This year President Howden Ganley and vice-President Emanuele Pirro were well to the fore at the various events as can be seen from the photo below.

In this one, Howden, right rear, with John Hugenholtz and his wife whilst Emanuele Pirro and his wife Marlene take a seat alongside Yves Morizot the founder and owner of Stand 21 who supply the bulk of the drivers in Grand Prix formula 1 with their custom-made racing suits. John Hugenholtz races successfully in historic racing and has won the Tour Auto with his Ford GT40. His father, John, is best known firstly as Manager of the Zandvoort racing circuit in Holland as well being one of the first professional racing circuit designers. Perhaps his greatest design was for Suzuka in Japan with its unique flyover section.
