On December 24 our Club President Howden Ganley celebrated his 75th birthday and in January it will be 46 years since he competed in his first every grand prix, the South African Grand prix of 1971 driving a BRM P153.
He retired from the race due to fuel vaporisation which affected all of the BRM team cars. He was to continue to race with BRM in 1972 before moving to Frank Williams with the ISO Marlboro in 1973.
We wish him a very happy birthday.
