If you are a regular reader of the Grand Prix Drivers Club web site you will know Gabriele Fabbri, or the Shark as he called himself when he raced. If not I would direct you to the Articles section and Members Articles for June.
Earlier this year the club were his guests at his Hotel Promenade in Riccione, Italy where we held our Annual General Meeting.
Gabriele has just told us that he has now sold his hotel to a Russian investor but has kept the building next door with its huge underground carpark where he stored all his various historic cars, and the Health Spa. This part was the headquarters of the Adriatic Veteran Car Club, which he founded and of which he is President, as he wants to keep this as a meeting place and hospitality area. This area includes four apartments each with two bedrooms and huge terraces.
The Hotel Promenade has been a popular Club venue for the past thirty years and yet we hope that we will be able to meet up with Gabriele and his wife Carla not only at other Club functions but even back in Riccione and he sends greetings and best wishes to all his friends in the Club.
