It is the custom of the club to record significant birthdays and this month we celebrate the 85th birthday of David Piper (December 5) and the 90th birthday “Nano” da Silva Ramos, December 7.
Though David competed in three grands prix with his Lotus 16 he became Internationally famous through his exploits in sports and GT racing with various Ferrari’s and his Porsche 917.
Hermamp “Nano” Da Silva Romos was also a sports car driver as well as a grand prix driver with the official Gordini team in the mid 19’50s.
